Version history option missing in Excel Online.
Version history option missing in Excel Online. Placement in nav bar optimal, but any place would fit needs. Win for clients as easier to restore and review past changed to files. Win for Microsoft as reduces quantity of file copies placed in cloud storage.
Agreed the option is there in word and powerpoint online, but not excel online. Their own support article shows it should be there in Excel online too:

Same idea here. We can open file history from Word Online (File->History), but not from Excel.
More over, using links from Sharepoint Online fails to open in desktop application unless an option is unchecked in Internet Explorer.
And this options is sooooo RGPD friendly, we don't want to uncheck this.
So we would like our online users to be able to open Excel file history at least online...
You can see Version History from One Drive. It would be nice to see it from inside of the Excel Online document and to preview the old version before asking if you want to restore it. Some times you just want to look back at an old version and copy a cell to paste in the current version.
