Function in chosen language, not according to location
I use Excel and other Office web apps in English, however my locale is set up as Czech Republic which I would like to keep because changing account to a different locale that uses English means changing timezone etc.
My request is that functions language would either be based on selected language or there will be an option to select language specifically for functions.
Excel Online; Showing today's name using =TEXT(TODAY();"DDDD"), the language used is based on the location, I don't have an option to change that.
I have an excel document created in Brazilian Portuguese. My excel for web is in english, but functions and values are still in Brazilian Portuguese, i.e. VLOOKUP function doesn't work, I need write PROCV. I need write FALSO for FALSE value.

Functions are in English when I need them in Spanish...

When you open the share link (edit) in icognito, you can actually achieve the opposite.. But you can work with the English formula's...
This is an issue from 2017..

This is the most ridiculous thing I've seen in a while.. the explanation of a function in Englisch, but the formula itself in Dutch!
Extremely frustrating !
All my formula's when I open Excel via web browser are changed into Dutch while they are in the original file in English.
Various support departments ( One-Drive, Excel and Microsoft) are unable to provide a solution.
Any updates on this issue ?
We have a tenant set in French few years ago and our excel online users would like to have functions and formulas in English, as we are a large company located around the world.
Same here with Dutch formulas in an English environment.
It seems this issue is still not addressed by Microsoft
Same problem in bilingual Finland. As a Swedishspeaking person I want the functions to be in Swedish. So to at least get the screen in Swedish I have to have the settings Sweden -Swedish. BUt the functions are still in Finnsh. That sucks and causes a lot of problems. Microsoft seems to neglect the fast that region/country is not the same as the language You want to use.
I don't know which language is running on my word. Isimplynwant English(UN) and I am not able to that at all. Plz urgent reply me... Im in great trouble.
At present the Functions appear to be related to the default Tenent site setting. This needs to follow the same rules as normal language selection. If I want to see menu's and display values in my language then I also need to see the functions in the same language. We are English people in a French Tenent. The GUI is in English and adding a function menus are in English, so WHY are actual function names inserted into sheet as French.
