Really difficult to reformat manually or resort to copy paste just to have the right formats in place. Time consuming and unnecessary.

Agreed. Downright silly to not have this feature in place. Further surprising since it's available on Word online.

Other than the "Save" button, the format painter is the feature I use most in Excel. It saves a TON of time every day so why in the world would Microsoft remove this?!?! It's obviously pushing people (including myself) to seriously consider Google Docs.

By not having the format button I am having to add about 5 -7 minutes to every spreadsheet I create and I create 6-8 spreadsheets a day.

I agree with all this comments. I do not know why this is not an option. Having to format everything once more is not user friendly. This is why I have not move all my documents from google drive.

I am unable to find a toggle for Format Painter as with the desktop version. Not sure if I'm just missing it...?

It becomes difficult to deal with large spreadsheets in Excel online as there is no option to freeze top panes.
Also, please add Format painter to work conveniently on the data. -

This is a staple for any serious spreadsheet application and it's a downright sin for Microsoft not to include it with their online version.

This would be a significant improvement and the primary formatting tool I use everyday. Why format something from scratch when you can copy the formatting from somewhere else?
