There is no way to select non-adjacent cells as in normal Excel.
In order to tot-up figures, it is useful to be able to use Ctrl+click and select different cells. There is no functionality in Excel online to do this currently.
We are excited to announce that it is now possible to select non-adjacent cells in Excel for the Web.
There are still several functionalities that are not available on non-adjacent cells, but the Excel team is working to add them.
Please continue to leave feedback to help us improve.
Cannot believe this - thought is was maybe my setup.
Please update this Microsoft. I have to use this for work now as we switch from Google Sheets to Microsoft and now it makes my job much more difficult. I cant believe you guys have not fixed this yet. Also, everyone keep voting! This needs to be put on the radar for them to fix ASAP. Share this with others too so they can comment and vote as well.

This is a deal breaker for me too. I really don't want to use Google sheets but that appears to be my only option.
About to switch to google sheets
I want this feature too
Seriously, sort it out Microsoft. This has been basic functionality in Excel since the '80's...
It is quite disconcerting that a company as massive as Microsoft cannot offer this basic function and has not fixed it since this thread began over 4 years ago.
Selecting multiple non-adjacent rows or columns for iPad using Smart Keyboard.
I don't know what defines the product roadmap, but if they aren't using AI to extract sentiment out of the uservoice comments to help rank priority, they probably should be. I see some features that are being worked on that are great, but might not be essential for most users. The comments here clearly suggest this feature is essential for adoption for many people.
Ridiculous. Get this sorted Microsoft, god knows you have enough money.
I'm seriously shocked this is not an option yet.
I don't have Local Office Client in my subscription. Please add CTRL+CLICK for non adjacent cells immediately so that I can do my work.
Don't forget to hit the vote button above and share this link with your team members. I see a lot of comments without the vote tally going up. More votes will get the product team's attention.

Please add this feature. Right now I have to drop back to the desktop apps when I need it.

This is a fundamentally necessary feature. It's ridiculous that this request has remained unresolved for 5 years.
This alone is enough to send me back into the loving arms of Google Sheets, where this was a DAY ONE FEATURE.

What in the world? How is this feature not available in Excel online?
I must use Excel online for a new job and coming from using Google Sheets, Google Sheets functionality (as far as collaboration and ease of use for business) is far superior.
Also, you can't drag rows and columns? So silly.
Sorting doesn't automatically keep row data in place?
This baffles me. Just voted to get attention.
this is weak, how is this possible that Microsoft can't figure this out?
How can this not be at the top of the list?? what is the hold up here? really please tell me!

Ctrl+Click is a feature in almost any other user-end program, crazy that it cant be used in excel online.
