There is no way to select non-adjacent cells as in normal Excel.
In order to tot-up figures, it is useful to be able to use Ctrl+click and select different cells. There is no functionality in Excel online to do this currently.
We are excited to announce that it is now possible to select non-adjacent cells in Excel for the Web.
There are still several functionalities that are not available on non-adjacent cells, but the Excel team is working to add them.
Please continue to leave feedback to help us improve.

4 years without a single move from MS, to correct what is one of the 3 ou 4 basic features of a spreadsheet. This is outrageous. I cannot think of somethink else than an intentionnal move from MS.
Unfortunate find for a newcomer to this wonderful program
I absolutely need this function to continue to use spreadsheets!
In COVID days, Teams has become a must. But it comes with this horrible problem!
I cannot complete my job without this function as its mandatory to perform analysis on Excel online... Is there any other way to select non-adjacent cells?
Hello. It is ridiculous. I can't complete a simple operation without this function. Wasting a lot of time.

Madness this doesn't work
You kill yourself on the new iPadOS Systems... the OS is becoming more and more similar to desktop systems... and MS Office on iPads still behaves like a rudimentary makeshift.
Can't believe after 4.5 years this is still an issue. Please update! This feature is needed

This is just sad and VERY frustrating!
+1 "it is radiculous"
It looks like intensional procedure...
Microsoft do something, little cats are crying every single day because of you!!!
I am currently working on a class for college and to finish my work I need to select non-adjacent cells to make a chart. I have tried holding the control key while selecting them, holding the shift key, and I've even tried creating a shortcut by holding the shift key and f8 and that has done nothing.

Wow. I came to see the status of this feature. Since 2016 it has not been an option.
Please add this feature!!

This problem needs to get fixed. I'm not permitted to use GOOGLE as of current. Placed a request with our IT department to change though. This feature is to important to not have anymore. At least Google engineer's will at least listen and improve!!!!!! Microsoft feel's they don't have to. Watch out microsoft. GOOGLE is going to take over another area. They already own everything search related and internet browser related. Next they'll own Spreadsheets, and word processing.
Entering in the line. MS **** off without this function. 4 Years? It sucks
I a student trying to make graphs for my assignment, i use a Chromebook and so this is my only option. looks like i have to use google sheets now.

Is there a way to type in the function field the equivalent of selecting multiple non-adjacent cells? If I type in a comma, it automatically thinks I'm trying to move on to the next segment of a function. I.E: I if I type:
But once I hit comma, my cursor is automatically moved from the "range" to the "criteria" portion of the function.
