There is no way to select non-adjacent cells as in normal Excel.
In order to tot-up figures, it is useful to be able to use Ctrl+click and select different cells. There is no functionality in Excel online to do this currently.

We are excited to announce that it is now possible to select non-adjacent cells in Excel for the Web.
There are still several functionalities that are not available on non-adjacent cells, but the Excel team is working to add them.
Please continue to leave feedback to help us improve.

Need to be able to select non-adjacent cells on ios excel. During virtual learning the majority of my students use the iPad as their only device. I cannot teach the students MS Office applications if a large chunk of the functionality is disabled on the iPad.

In Excel on MS Teams I cannot use the CTRL +1 to access formatting commands. I cannot use the ALT key as well to access menues. I cannot use keyboard shortcuts to insert rows and columns. Many of us who have used Excel for 25 years use keyboard commands to save our limbs from mouse induced strain and because they are so quick. Please consider these.

Is there any way to do this in the web version on a Mac? Ctrl+click has right-click functionality by default.

For the love of God, please add this function to IOS, it is really so basic that I don't understand why it doesn´t have it!

While I can select now, I still can't make charts with the data that I select in non-adjacent cells. Honestly, why would anyone pay money for this product? It is not fully functional!

Matt Luth - I am trying to select non-adjacent ROWS in my case, and still cannot do it by holding down control button. I need to hold control while I am on the row number. When I do, it brings up an "option" box -to cut, paste, etc. As I select the 3rd row, the first 2 become "unhighlighted. Thanks for any further help you can provide.

K Martin, I am able to click into the first cell that I want to select, then hold down CTRL and click other non-adjacent cells to select them all at once to apply a highlight for example. I couldn't do that earlier in the year.
