Highlight cells affected by formula when editing
Like the desktop version, when a formula is being edited (F2), highlight with colors the other cells used in the formula.
....... And it has passed the 3 year anniversary since the original request ?! It's in here competing with over 1,000 other items, while this feature (long available in Excel) is moldering. This should be a "table stakes" item.
Google Apps can do this..... For a power use in Excel this is critical. It makes me sad that its not in Excel Online.
It's a pretty fundamental feature. Very surprised its not already available.

I agree with all the comments below. This is absolutely basic and I cant believe we are having to vote for it. I have also just had a really frustrating exchange with support which finally lead to this thread. Please Vote this up and get others to do so.

Why it isn't the default option I can't understand.
This is a greatly needed feature.
When we edit a function - the cells in the function should be marked (by different colours).
