Links between spreadsheets in Excel Online
It would be nice for links between spreadsheets on my One Drive to work.
Thank you for your continued feedback and responses. I am excited to let you know that the work for External Links for Excel on the web has started.

Waiting for the update too.
Please. Extimated Time of Arrival
does anybody know if there's been progress here?
Team, any luck?
Microsoft, any update?
How long just to make it use relative paths?! Reminds me of Frontpage back in the day and you would insert a pic with the full path and have to go edit it manually to make it relative.

Team, do we have an ETA for this?
I have to agree with other comments that surely we can be provided with some kind of update on this in terms of 'expected delivery'? I'm not asking for exact timings, but a ball park of 3 weeks, 3 months or even 3 years - at least we would have something to work with?! Not that this should make any difference, but I am currently working with a large customer who is looking to move away from the 'other service' and this requirement alone is preventing that.
We just need something that we can work with, or towards - at this stage, literally anything will help.

when will this Feature be finished?
Any chance for an ETA on this feature? I want to know if i can wait or should just move to Google for me spreadsheet needs.
We found a workaround whereas if you create a link to a SharePoint doc library locally through windows explorer, and open and edit the files there, the links remained.
Is there any progress with this Issue?
Is there any progress with this Issue? really frustrating.
Who knows if this will ever get fixed... in the meantime I've found a workaround. Basically you need to create a query from one workbook to the Sharepoint folder where the online workbook is stored.
Also this resource: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/import-data-from-external-data-sources-power-query-be4330b3-5356-486c-a168-b68e9e616f5a?redirectSourcePath=%252fen-us%252farticle%252fconnect-to-a-sharepoint-list-power-query-3226f248-f8b3-4777-82ce-b4ed04dedaaf&ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
I would also recommend searching for "power query excel sharepoint" and going over those resources
David Hawkins: it better be applicable to the Excel 365 desktop! Who cares if it works in the online version if they don't bother to fix all of the other issues with the online version?
Microsoft: if you have to choose between MS 356 Excel desktop and online, I beg you, PLEASE FIX THE DESKTOP!
Thanks David Hawkins - that's exactly my issue too.
